Team

Built by robotics operators who know the gap between demos and deployment.

10Things is led by Kimate Richards and a deployment-minded team focused on simulation-first robotics, agentic tooling, control workflows, safety, and the practical systems work required to move robots into the real world.

Kimate Richards, founder of 10Things

Founder / Robotics & embodied AI

Kimate Richards

Kimate Richards founded 10Things after decades inside robotics, cloud, simulation, embodied AI, and spatial computing. He has spent 30 years in robotics, led strategic engagements at Amazon Web Services, and spent more than five years there supporting robotics, spatial computing, embodied AI, and physical AI.

His work centers on the part of robotics that usually breaks between demo and deployment: simulation, integration, control, safety, behavior, analytics, continuous learning, and operational readiness.

Kimate’s public work spans NVIDIA Isaac Sim and Isaac Lab, Omniverse, Warp/Newton, OpenUSD, ROS2, behavior cloning, synthetic data, teleoperation, bimanual manipulation, spatial computing, and human-robot interaction workflows.

NVIDIA Omniverse Ambassador: Kimate is listed by NVIDIA as an Omniverse Ambassador in Robot Simulation — “building scalable platforms with Omniverse and OpenUSD to move robotics from prototype to production.” Link.

Mentorship & student sponsorship

Kimate also invests in the next generation of robotics builders.

CSU Chico capstone sponsor

Robotics tool changer and holder

Kimate sponsored graduating mechanical engineering students building a low-cost robotics tool device changer and holder intended to save training time for end effectors and purpose-built robot functions.

Student robotics sponsor

Autonomous mobile robot platform

Student work credited Kimate as a sponsor supporting an autonomous mobile robot project involving ROS2, electrical hardware, embedded systems, and assistive upper-body robotics.

Internship mentorship

Embodied AI and robot learning

Oliver Choy, co-founder of 10Things

Co-founder / Business architecture

Oliver Choy

Oliver Choy brings nearly two decades of technical consulting and delivery leadership to 10Things. He has led complex enterprise technology programs across cloud, data, AI, digital platforms, healthcare, retail, media, and financial services — translating ambiguous technical opportunities into operating models, delivery systems, and customer-facing offerings.

Oliver led a portfolio of senior technical advisors across dozens of enterprise engagements at Snowflake, with a focus on operating cadence, delivery quality, reliability, and repeatable consulting excellence. Previously, he held Director-level platform engineering leadership roles at Slalom, focused primarily on AWS, cloud architecture, data platforms, and high-performing technical delivery teams.

His startup experience includes involvement with 500 Startups and years spent helping early-stage ideas become clearer products, sharper operating models, and more credible go-to-market motions.

At 10Things, Oliver focuses on business architecture, operational cadence, and execution discipline — helping turn the founder’s deep robotics expertise into a company that can sell, deliver, learn, and scale.
